The Princes Trust Celebrate Success Awards

November 6th, 2009

george and manonThe Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards honour the accomplishments of underprivileged young individuals who have succeeded against the odds, improved upon their chances in life and had an encouraging influence on their community all through the support of the charity.

This event is one of the key activities in their yearly calendar and is an opportunity to listen to various inspirational stories of people supported by The Trust as well as acknowledging the exceptional dedication of the individuals and partner organisations who assist their hard work. Affiliate Window have been invited along to this prestigious event in recognition of their fundraising efforts earlier this year.

In October, two of Affiliate Window’s most beloved and dedicated staff members, George Fletcher and Manon Dave, challenged themselves by embarking on an incredible two-week charity expedition through India in an effort to experience first-hand the ways of life in areas such as Goa, Mumbai, Dehli, Shiani, Agra, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. They had some extraordinary experiences which you can read about on their blog and at the same time they managed to personally raise an incredible £1,191.00 in donations.

George and Manon are excited to be attending the Celebrate Success Awards and said “We were truly inspired by the work The Prince’s Trust put in, and the stories of the young people they’ve helped over the years. There was an overwhelming urge for us to do whatever we could to help out, and the journey through India seemed a natural choice as soon as the idea was conceived. It was an experience of a lifetime, and we hope that the money we raised will allow the Trust to continue to help in the development of young people throughout the country. We would also like to say a special thank-you to  MeanAndGreen.com, Blacks.co.uk, and SimplyHike.co.uk for donating essential pieces of equipment for our trip.”

CEO Kevin Brown said “At Affiliate Window, we are sincerely committed to the cause of The Princes Trust and I’m really proud of the guys for their determination, dedication, and unbelievable achievement. It was an arduous challenge for them to undertake on their own accord and they did incredibly well.”

Though their adventurous journey has come to an end and they have safely returned back to the UK (and more importantly to the office!), it’s not too late to donate via their JustGiving page. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will be put to excellent use.
