weekly tipsIn a boost for online marketers, Pinterest recently announced that affiliate links are allowed on the platform again after improving their spam detection system. This follows a ban 18 months ago which was implemented after the social network claimed that affiliate links were being abused by spammers, blighting the user experience with irrelevant pins and broken links.

The London Thing is a London lifestyle blog that features reviews and recommendations on cool bars and restaurants in London and focuses on making the review as visual as possible so the readers are able to get better sense of atmosphere. Tania also shares outfits and style tips on weekly basis as well as beauty products and treatment reviews to inspire likeminded individuals. The blog averages around 20k views per month and has an engaged social media following of over 20k. The London Thing has recently made it to No 7 of the Top 10 London Lifestyle Bloggers category at Vuelio.

Advertiser Interview: Superdry Brand Day

logo On 19th May, contemporary fashion brand Superdry held their first Brand Day at it’s global flagship store on London’s Regent Street to give their top affiliates a sneak peak of their upcoming collections. The ranges included: AW16, Christmas, Idris Elba + Superdry, Snow and Sport.

Up and coming drinks brand, Juice Man was on hand to keep guests hydrated with healthy juices and awaken shots, alongside a range of Instagrammable edible treats, including branded caramel eclairs and biscuits. A Henna tattooist was also on-site to ensure that committed affiliates could get the complete Superdry look. Affiliates were also able to create real floral and feather headbands to add the finishing touches to their Superdry festival outfits.

We spoke to Superdry’s Affiliate Marketing Executive, Cameron Rooney about the idea behind the event and how the event engaged with publishers to lead to new opportunities.
