We are delighted to announce we are extending our corporate charity partnership with The Encephalitis Society (TES) through 2014. We have worked with TES for the past 18 months, helping to create awareness around the terrible condition, Encephalitis, inflammation of the brain which is caused by either an infection invading the brain or through the immune system attacking the brain in error.
TES is the only resource of its kind in the world providing a dedicated service to people affected by Encephalitis and their loved ones.
Throughout our partnership with TES, Affiliate Window employees have collectively helped raise more than £21,000 for the cause through a range of fun and exciting activities including the British 10K run, various bake sales, events fundraising and raffles including generous donations from our annual black tie events, a London based triathlon, Naked Network calendar sponsorship and merchandise, Three peaks challenge, and one brave staff member even climbed Mt. Fuji.
“We’re proud to continue supporting the great work of TES in 2014 and are pleased to be involved with such a worthy cause,” says Mark Walters, Managing Director for Affiliate Window. “We began our partnership with the charity 18 months ago when tragically, one of our own was diagnosed with Encephalitis. Sadly, Steve lost his fight earlier this year, but it was the work of TES that provided his family the valuable support and comfort they needed from the moment Steve first became ill. TES will always be a charity close to our hearts and we look forward to being a part of all they have planned in 2014.”
Ava Easton, CEO of The Encephalitis Society adds: “We’re delighted to have once again been voted as Affiliate Window’s Charity of the Year. Not only have you already raised more than £21,000 for our cause, but you have helped raise a huge amount of awareness of Encephalitis, something that you truly cannot put a price on. We are the only resource of our kind anywhere in the world, meaning the invaluable support you give will be felt across the globe. We have a number of exciting new initiatives planned for 2014 including the inaugural World Encephalitis Day and a new scheme for outdoor treks. We’re so excited to continue working with the Affiliate Window team, and we’re extremely grateful for your support. To find out more about Encephalitis and our work visit www.encephalitis.info. Best wishes and Merry Christmas from everyone at The Encephalitis Society.”
