October – Mobile Stats

Our October mobile and m-commerce stats are now available. Click here to download them.

Key points to note:

  • 10.70% of all sales were through mobile devices (inc tablets) – up from 9.98% in September
  • 4.14% of sales if we strip out tablets – up from 3.94% in September
  • 13.25% of traffic came through mobile – up from 12.79% in September
  • 7.76% if tablet traffic is stripped out – up from 7.48% in September
  • Mobile traffic is converting at 3.2% – up from 2.60% in September

      So would it be correct in stating:
      - 6.56% of sales are from tablet (up from 6.04% in September)
      - 5.49% of traffic is from tablet (up from 5.31% in September)

      Meaning that tablets convert 158.45% better than mobiles.

      Hi Chris,

      Our figures are showing mobile (excluding tablet) converting at 2.11% and tablet converting at 4.73% and with tablet converting at 124% the rate of mobile rather than the 158% that you mentioned.

      If you let us know how you came to the figures you did, we might be able to help clear up the discrepancy.

      Mcommerce figures really are great to watch! especially around this time of year, i think we will see a massive increase on mobile usage in the holiday season and a great increase year on year. I cant wait to see the November and December stats±
