Remember to look under the Affiliate Window Christmas Tree!
December 19th, 2007On Christmas day, after the Queen has finished her speech, we can confirm that one of Santa’s little helpers will have deposited a sleigh full of Christmas presents beneath the Affiliate Window Christmas tree.
If you have collected one, some or all eight of our Christmas Coins then you should head over to the tree after 3 pm on December 25th to get a gift. There will be over 450 presents in total, but be warned there are over 1,200 affiliates with coins to cash in. Santa has no favourites, so all the presents will be distributed on a first come first served basis! If you arrive after all the presents have been taken, the gift box images will be greyed out and you will have to wait 365 days for another opportunity.
You are best advised to login before 3pm on Christmas Day and keep refreshing/reloading the pop-up window that displays the Affiliate Window Christmas tree and the strings of Christmas babuls. When the presents are delivered all the baubles will be replaced with text explaining how to collect a gift and all the presents will become clickable links (there will also be a present counter displaying the number of presents remaining). The exact details on how to collect a Christmas present are given in full at the end of this blog post.

How to collect your Christmas Present!
On the Christmas Tree pop-up window you will see a number of presents; these presents represent the number of coins you have collected in recent weeks.
To qualify for a present you must have received £5 or more of confirmed commissions into your affiliate account during 2007. Affiliates who do not qualify will see only greyed out gift box images.
The largest box represents the highest value items and can only be redeemed by affiliates who have collected all 8 coins. There is a limited amount of presents assigned to each coin value.
You can select a present from 1 up to the number of coins you have collected. The larger the present, the higher its value.
To choose your present simply click on the gift box image, at this point a new pop up window will appear and require you to confirm that you want to proceed. (You will also be required to agree to the terms and conditions before your present can be revealed).
If you wish to choose a different sized gift box simply close the pop-up window and select a different gift box image. Once you have selected ‘yes’ there is no going back to Santa to change your gift.
To confirm that you want to open this present, click the ‘Yes I want my present’ button. This will select present at random from the appropriate prize pool.
Finally you will need to confirm the address we have for you or supply us with an alternative delivery address. Your gift will be dispatched in the week commencing 7th January.

Great scheme!
Take a family holiday abroad for Xmas with 8 coins, (since you’ve been bothered to actually log in faithfully to see the merchant promotions) and everyone who has 1 coin (who hasn’t been bothered, or who hasn’t looked at the promos) gets the presents instead of you, just because they are at the computer.
Why couldn’t you have said so earlier.

Well done affiliate window, a great idea and has been set up and run well. Clever way to get affilaites to log in weekly and see the latest merchant offers. Great to see the playing field leveled, so everyone gets the same chance at winning a prize.
I was wondering if bigger was going to be better, as smaller presents sizes can sometimes have the higher value, but you have made it clear that on this occasion BIGGER will be better.
Could be an interesting twist in the future to mix the prize sizes with the value, then it really will be a case of lucky guess.

Thankyou so much for the Christmas Tree Gift. Its a great idea and I got a hamper which was really a great surprise on Christmas Day, I was not expecting such a nice gift, and it was really alot of fun and exciting collecting the coins then waiting to check the tree on Christmas Day.

well i must say i thought it was great fun didn’t exactly get what i expected for an 8 coin prize but can’t complain as its more than i expected to get
