AWin Product Feed Improvements

Written by Sophie Johnson on . Posted in Network News

What are product feeds in general?

A Product Feed is a collection of links contained in a single file. However links alone will not be of much use to most Publishers. So the more information that can be provided that is relevant to each link, the more options are available for a Publisher to sort, filter and display those links.

For example, a general retailer may have a feed containing their entire stock inventory, containing part numbers, descriptions, colours, prices and so on. A Publisher can use this feed to quickly find or display the links they require, instead of searching the retailer’s site manually.

Written by Lulu Olude on . Posted in Events

March 24th 2016 saw the return of our annual fashion sector event – Fashion Focus – for it’s 6th year. Each year the event continues to grow, proving why it is one of our most successful sector events.

The event was held at London’s spectacular RSA House, which definitely set the scene with a combination of Georgian splendour and high quality contemporary design. Guest were welcomed with a champagne reception, sponsored by Yieldify.  The evening was a great way for leading fashion brands and publishers to network with each other – alongside gaining pivotal insight in the latest network trends within the fashion and retail sector. Brands including ASOS, Boden, Joules and House of Fraser showcased some of their key looks; we also saw a number of fashion publishers attend including StylePilot, Fashiola and ShopStyle.

Whitepaper: are you receiving honest rewards for honest sales?

At last year’s Performance Marketing Insights we presented on ‘The Hidden Commission Killers in Affiliate Marketing’. This explored the concept of a number of factors across the affiliate channel which could lead to the erosion of commission publishers could expect to earn in return for the sales they have generated.

De-duplication, lack of basic mobile tracking and the inability to track consumers across device were just some of the many factors that could lead to a reduction in commission. With the majority of these sitting outside of a publisher’s control, should advertisers be reconsidering the commission rate they are willing to pay or how commissions are awarded?

One thing there is a definite need for across the channel is transparency. It is vital that advertisers are clear on commission rates they are paying and how their programme is set-up. This will have an impact on the amount of commission a publisher can expect to earn from a sale.
