Affiliate Window updates its transaction notification system

Written by Sander van Oorschot on . Posted in Network News, Technology

Affiliate Window currently offers its publishers a real-time reporting feature which ensures that every time a transaction is recorded, a notification is sent to the publishers system with all the relevant details associated to the transaction and the products associated with the sale.

We have released a new method that makes it even easier for publishers to begin benefiting from the transaction notification feature. Previously the system worked by sending data in JSON format to a call-back URL. This meant that publishers were required to write code to manage the data, when they may already have a generic tracking pixel ready to receive data.

With the new method, publishers can simply include existing tracking pixels. All the publisher has to do is enter the URL and choose which parts they want to have populated with transaction data.

For example:

The existing JSON method is still available under the name ‘POST (send JSON object)’.

On Tuesday 10th June, our judging panel will pick the three best choices from across the categories.

Al Fresco Shines a Light on the Home and Garden sector

Written by Harri on . Posted in Events

alfresco_logoThis year saw the return of Al Fresco, our Home, Garden and Outdoor sector event. Taking full advantage of the recent sunshine, Al Fresco was held at The Mermaid, situated on the banks of the Thames near Blackfriars.

Guests enjoyed the view with some tea, coffee and light networking before settling in for an insightful presentation from Chris Johnson, Content Director at PerformanceIN. Chris explained the current performance landscape touching on topics such as cart abandonment, mobile apps, shipping costs and the reason why so many of us share our bad customer experiences on social networks. photo 7

After Chris’ presentation, the mini expo and speed networking commenced with retailers such as House of Fraser,, B&Q and The Range showcasing their products to a selection of the top 200 and sector specific publishers. Everyone was treated to a selection of tasty canapés and drinks as publishers made their way around various advertiser stands to network, put names to faces, and create new business relationships.

“The Al Fresco event proved to be another triumph for Affiliate Window. The event provided a unique opportunity to meet up with a huge number of key advertisers. The speaker session gave great insight into industry progression. The speed networking that followed allowed an opportunity catch up with established clients and meet new ones. Thanks to everyone who organised the event. Sign us up for next year!”

-Ed Learoyd, Mobile Team Leader, Marcomedia

“Thank you for inviting us to Al Fresco.  We had a great time and met new potential partners to help us promote House of Fraser more proactively. The event also helped us to gain more publishers especially for the Home department. Enjoyed the food and drinks as well, so all in all a great event.”

- Glosinda Goes, Online Partnerships Executive, House of Fraser

Thank you to everyone who attended and made the day such a success. To see data insights and photos from the day, check out the #alfresco14 hashtag here. If you have any feedback or questions about this event, please contact
