To coincide with a key period in the weight-loss calendar, Weight Watchers and Affiliate Window hosted a Webinar for their publishers on 23rd January 2014.  This was hosted via a Google Hangout by Olivia Wise, the Affiliate Window Account Executive for the brand and Audrey O’Brien, Head of Online at Weight Watchers UK.  A special mention goes out to Lina Gomes, Digital Campaign Manager at Weight Watchers UK for her part in helping organise the webinar. With an overarching purpose of engaging more with our publishers, the objective of this session was twofold: firstly, to provide valuable information around the Weight Watchers brand and secondly, to offer insight into both current campaigns and those exciting plans for the year ahead.   Olivia introduced Audrey to the publishers attending the Webinar with Audrey then talking through the history and focus of Weight Watchers.  Key highlights from Audrey’s presentation are summarised below:

Weight Watchers Brand & Product Information:

Weight Watchers are a global and ethical brand with their approach being a simple one.  They recognise that weight loss is about more than just individual willpower, it is also about supporting, inspiring and motivating members.  The brand is keen to stay ahead of the curve by continually giving the customer something fresh and exciting by developing their plans/products based on the latest thinking and science.  Additionally, the products and programmes do not set members apart from family and friends but rather offer an inclusive opportunity for everyone to be involved in.

A picture is worth a thousand words… We won’t be requiring that many however, as a simple sentence will do.

caption my heart

Do you have what it takes to outwit the wittiest of our publishers? This Valentine’s Day, we want you to caption our photos, all in the name of love.  We will be releasing a variety of ambiguous photos over the next couple of weeks and it is your job to come up with the most accurate, hilarious, silly or simply romantic caption you can think of (no naughty or distasteful entries please, this is a family network).

Get cracking and caption our first image above.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for the most up to date image every day and reply with your one-liner, being sure to include the #captionmyheart hashtag. The captioner that tickles us the most (judged by the experts at Affiliate Window), will win one of the below fabulous prizes for their sweetheart(s) or even themselves:

Never Miss a Trick with the Affiliate Window Seasonal Calendar

Written by Sarah on . Posted in Network News

From hosting our sector events to running seasonal campaigns to attending conferences – the Affiliate Window team and our clients have a busy diary throughout the year. That’s why we’ve stuck to one of our New Year’s resolutions this year and created the AWin Seasonal Calendar with our key dates pencilled in for 2014.

UK Seasonal Calendar

We’ve found it so useful for keeping our schedules in check, we wanted to share it publicly so you’re kept up to date with all the latest events, promotions, publisher incentives and conferences. Access and bookmark here.

Here’s a quick guide to what we’ve featured:

Advertiser Promotions

These dates are when TheHub will be updated with seasonal categories such as Health & Beauty in January or Home & Garden in April. To ensure we’re making the most of any sale or promotional period for the upcoming month/s, please send your promotional calendar to your Affiliate Window account manager.

Publisher Incentives

In addition to showcasing the seasonal promotions, we offer fun, easy competitions on our social media channels to give our publishers a chance to win prizes or cash bonuses. If you’re an advertiser and interested in some additional exposure through competition sponsorship, get in touch with your account manager.

AW Events

Throughout the year we regularly host networking, training and social events. Spaces are limited at our sector events and bi-monthly Advertiser Training Seminars so if interested, please get in touch in advance to ensure your space is confirmed.

Industry Events

To keep up with the industry and network with the key players in digital marketing, you’ll find us at conferences and events such as PMI London, Dmexco and AM Days London.

We hope you find our Seasonal Calendar as useful as we do for 2014 – if you have any feedback or questions, please get in touch.
