My Mum’s Better Than Your Mum

Written by Jasmin on . Posted in Competitions

Mother’s Day is only a few days away and what better way to celebrate your mum than to think of other women?

Send us a tweet, or better yet Instagram us a photo of a famous person who you think would make the best mother. E.g. “I wish Nigella Lawson was my mum – yummy baking galore!” or “I wish Cher was my mum – you could get away with anything,” or better yet, “I wish Alan Carr was my mum – a guarantee of a good giggle” – well we didn’t say it had to be a female :).

One winner will be selected, who can then nominate any mum they like (including themselves) to receive our Mother’s Day Rosé and Wine Gift Basket or a Rose & Pamper Gift Box. Once the winner has confirmed their account ID and delivery address, we’ll arrange for the chosen prize to arrive in time for Mothering Sunday.

Now read the small print, mother knows best…

Winner: Hazel Flanagan

Littlewoods – Mobile Case Study

The mobile landscape
With mobile commerce experiencing considerable growth over the past couple of years, online department store Littlewoods was keen to ensure it made the most of this growth curve. There are significant benefits to be gained by providing visitors through mobile handsets with a fully optimised mobile experience. As well as being in a better position to convert visitors that have landed on the site through a mobile device, a user friendly mobile experience has also proven to increase the basket value of these customers.

Simply tracking mobile transactions has also been a challenge for many operators in the performance market, with many failing to add affiliate tracking to their mobile commerce site.

Advertiser Interview: Fragrance Direct Consolidation

Following the recent consolidation of Fragrance Direct from Webgains and Affiliate Future, we caught up with the brand to learn more about how running their programme exclusively with Affiliate Window will impact the strategy of the online perfume shop.

What influenced your decision to consolidate the Fragrance Direct programme and partner exclusively with Affiliate Window?

With the increasing maturity of the UK affiliate industry, we no longer saw the business case for running secondary or tertiary networks. There were no legitimate traffic-driving publishers that were on our other networks that we couldn’t access via Affiliate Window.

Having worked successfully with Affiliate Window for several years, we chose to partner with them exclusively because of their market leading reporting and insight tools, publisher communication tools and account support.

Affiliate Window goes live!

Valentine’s Day can make people do crazy things; while some people choose the special day to let that ONE person know that they love them, here at Affiliate Window we’re going even further… From this day forward, we’re declaring our undying love for all of our publishers as we launch “live chat” across our interface.

The live chat is integrated directly into the interface so there is no need to install any applications or software. If you ever need an answer quickly, you can now launch a session and talk in real-time to one of our dedicated support staff and unlike MSN, this new feature is supported by a team of eight during working hours which means there will always be a contact online.

Some of the suggested topics for instigating live chat are:

• Guidance around the interface
• Approval for specific programmes
• Tips on where to find creative
