Advertiser Interview: La Senza

Written by Lisa Chaikin on . Posted in Interview

Lingerie brand, La Senza has recently re-launched their affiliate programme with Affiliate Window and we caught up with the brand to find out what’s in store for 2013.

As a well known lingerie brand, explaining your proposition to publishers and recruiting them as your advocates must be important. How have you approached the challenge of engaging with so many partners?

We’d like to engage directly with as many of our big affiliates as possible, as the relationship is important to us. However, we will also want to benefit from Affiliate Window’s ability to talk to more partners, more often, and take best advantage of the relationships they have. We understand the importance of giving affiliates something extra, and plan to give publishers a number of exclusive promotions that will be easy for them to communicate to their audience as a genuine added value offer. If adding in a little competitive spirit helps, we’ll also add in some prizes and incentives for top performers.

A4u Launches Performance Marketing Guide 2013

Written by Lisa Chaikin on . Posted in PerformanceIN

The Performance Marketing Guide 2013, compiled by A4u in collaboration with Commission Junction, sets out to give you a thorough grounding in the digital, revenue-generating methodology. Everybody from budding digital marketers to seasoned veterans are bound to benefit.

The original, inaugural Performance Marketing Guide was released in May 2011 and the industry has undergone some serious evolution since. All the new innovations that have occurred over the past year and a half are discussed in detail throughout the guide’s many new sections by knowledgeable contributors.

Of the new sections, technology has to be the most important because it’s here where we’re really seeing the innovation. If you’re looking to delve into emerging areas of performance, then you’ll want to read all about video, call tracking, tag management and attribution in the technology section of the guide.

Mobile has been a huge area of debate in the performance marketing industry. Throughout the year, networks have been haranguing advertisers to incorporate mobile affiliate tracking to avoid lost commissions. It has become such a key topic that A4u has overhauled the mobile section to give it a broader remit.

A4u has attempted to widen the voice of the guide by opening it up to more contributors for the 2013 edition. Past authors like AffJet, Azam Marketing, Criteo and Paid On Results have been joined by the likes of Coull, IAB and DC Storm. All the companies have one thing in common: They are experts in their chosen subject.

You can download the Performance Marketing Guide 2013 from here.

A4u Content Director, Chris Johnson, had the following to say about the Performance Marketing Guide 2013:

Over 9,000 downloads of the 2012 Performance Marketing Guide have been recorded by A4u in the 18 months since the launch of the inaugural report. It just goes to show there is a demand to be educated in the fundamentals of performance marketing and a desire to understand its intricacies.

The performance industry evolves at a remarkable pace and it can sometimes be difficult to keep up with. All the latest innovations are firmly reflected in the additional content sections that have been added to this year’s guide, which expand on new commerce channels, technology and data.

I’d like to thank both new and old contributors and the guide’s sponsor, Commission Junction, for its continued support.”

Florian Gramshammer, UK Country Manager at Commission Junction, added his own opinion about the guide:

The A4u Performance Marketing Guide is one of the most thorough online marketing guides available and has proved to be hugely useful tool for any marketing professional looking for insight into our industry.

This guide clearly demonstrates the benefits and best practices within performance marketing and this new update ensures the content is fresh and up to speed with all new trends and technologies. It’s an asset to the industry and I hope there are many more iterations to come.”
